Implant-free cryotherapy
Effective solutions to stabilize vulnerable plaques and reduce heart attack risk

CRYOTHERAPEUTICS
Every year, there are 1.6 million heart attacks in Europe and 1.25 million in USA
Currently there are no interventional treatments that can stabilize atherosclerotic plaque that can cause heart attacks
Our innovative Approach

Catheter
CryoTherapeutics has developed a patented system consisting of a console and an intracoronary balloon catheter to be used by interventional cardiologists. Using X-ray guidance, the catheter is advanced until the balloon is positioned at the level of the plaque requiring treatment.

Console
The operator inflates the balloon and initiates the cryo-procedure: the console then delivers the cooling agent through the catheter in a controlled manner to cool down the solution inside the balloon, maintaining a temperature between -10°C to -20°C required for the treatment of the vulnerable plaque.
Cryotherapy Procedure
CryoTherapeutics’ catheter-based cryotherapy technology is designed to stabilize vulnerable plaques by reducing inflammation and increasing the fibrous cap thickness, hence lowering the risk of rupture and preventing future myocardial infarction (MI).
